Thanh An bridge, Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway

On the morning of May 20, in An Lao, Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI), the investor of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project, held a ceremony to join Thanh An bridge.

Attending were comrades: Do Trung Thoai - Vice Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee; Nguyen Anh Cuong - Vice Chairman of Hai Duong Provincial People's Committee; leaders of Vietnam Development Bank VDB, a number of departments and localities of Hai Phong and Hai Duong.

Thanh An Bridge belongs to package EX7 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project, undertaken by contractor GS E&C (Korea). The bridge crosses the Van Uc River, connecting the two districts of An Lao (Hai Phong) and Thanh Ha (Hai Duong), designed according to standards 22TCN 272-05, with a width of 33 meters, a length of 963 meters, and is constructed of reinforced concrete and prestressed reinforced concrete. Thanh An Bridge was started on February 3, 2009, constructed using symmetrical cantilever technology including two box beams, each beam is 16.34 meters wide, the height according to the parabolic curve at the highest point (main pillar) is 5.2 meters and the lowest is 2.5 meters (bridge end)...

According to the proposed schedule, after the merger, the items of Thanh An bridge will be completed and promptly inaugurated to serve the section running through Hai Phong of the entire Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project, expected to take place in 2015.
