Implementing the direction of the Prime Minister and the City People's Committee on assigning the task of land clearance for the section passing through Long Bien district under the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project, after more than 2 months of active and synchronous implementation, up to now the entire site of the project passing through the area has been cleared by Long Bien district, ensuring the correct order and regulations, with a total land clearance area of 37 hectares for 541 households and the total amount of compensation and support. more than 324 billion VND.

To complete site clearance in such a short time, Long Bien district mobilized the synchronous participation of the entire political system, especially focusing on propaganda and mobilization of people about the importance of the project, combined with publicity and transparency of mechanisms and policies for people to know, implement and monitor. At the same time, district and ward leaders also regularly organize direct dialogues to resolve people's petitions, proactively research and propose maximum application of policies to support people whose land is recovered on the basis of legal regulations, ensuring fairness and harmony of interests between the people - the state and investors.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Manh Hai, Chairman of Long Bien District People's Committee requested the investor and construction unit to coordinate with local authorities to manage the site well, prevent re-occupation, soon implement project construction, and at the same time take measures to minimize environmental pollution and ensure traffic safety during the construction process; Coordinate with the district's Project Management Board to have a plan to connect the project with district roads.

The Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project has a total length of 105 km passing through 14 districts of 4 provinces and cities: Hanoi, Hung Yen, Hai Duong and Hai Phong. The part passing through Long Bien district and Gia Lam district of Hanoi city has a length of 6.2km. It is expected that the entire route will be completed and put into operation in 2014.
