Commencement of package EX3 - Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project

On September 25, 2010, in Minh Chau commune (Yen My district - Hung Yen), Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) and China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC) held a groundbreaking ceremony for package EX -3 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway project.

Attending and participating in the groundbreaking ceremony were comrades: Pham The Cuong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of Hung Yen Provincial Party Committee, Dang Minh Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee, Ngo Xuan Thai - Secretary of Yen My District Party Committee, Le Thanh Xuan - Secretary of An Thi District Party Committee; Pham Van To - Secretary of Binh Giang District Party Committee (Hai Duong); VIDIFI's leadership and the authorities and mass organizations of the communes along the route pass through. Attending and participating in the groundbreaking, there was also the presence of Mr. Ho Qua Cam - Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam.

Construction package EX-3 has a total length of 14km with a route extending from Km 19+000 to Km 33+000, the starting point is in Minh Chau commune, Yen My district, Hung Yen province, the ending point is in Thai Duong commune, Binh Giang district, Hai Duong province. On the route there is 1 stop and 2 intersections. The contract package is worth nearly 173 million USD and will be constructed by the contractor, CRBC, over a period of 36 months. To ensure construction progress, CRBC has carried out leveling and spreading geotextile.
