Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway is one of the vital traffic axes connecting the Capital with the Northern key economic region, and is also the pioneer route to apply automatic non-stop toll collection (ETC) from the first days of implementation. Only from the beginning of the year to the end of April 18, 2026, the expressway has recorded more than 8.1 million vehicle movements, equivalent to an average of more than 76,800 vehicles per day. This year, because two holidays take place close together and workers have a long day off, it is forecast that vehicle traffic will increase dramatically, creating great pressure on the entire route operation system.

Faced with that situation, right at the meeting to deploy the tasks of Quarter II/2026 on April 21, the leaders of VIDIFI Corporation and the Board of Directors of Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Management and Operation Company Limited (Management Company) placed serving the two holidays as a key task and top priority. The Board of Directors of QLKT Company has issued instructions requiring all toll stations on the route to promote a proactive spirit and carefully prepare all plans to ensure safe and smooth traffic during the holiday period.

In particular, on April 22, 2026, the working group led by Deputy General Director Pham Viet Son (Chairman of the Board of Members - Management Company) representing the leaders of VIDIFI Corporation directly inspected the field at toll stations along the route. The delegation inspected the implementation of preparation work at each station, and at the same time directly met and encouraged staff on duty to successfully complete the work, ensuring safety for people and vehicles participating in traffic during the holiday season.

Accepting the direction of VIDIFI Corporation's leaders, QLKT Company has urgently implemented a series of specific and synchronous measures:

Technically, technical teams continuously check and review the electrical system, ITS system, fiber optic transmission lines and all toll collection equipment at the station area, ensuring stable operation; At the same time, supplement and reserve backup equipment to promptly handle arising incidents.

Regarding operating human resources, the toll collection and vehicle order control teams (KSTTX) are fully staffed and assigned 24/7 shifts during holidays. Staff are assigned to regulate traffic, guide and quickly handle situations where drivers have problems with faulty cards, accounts running out of money, or vehicles without ETC tags.

Notably, from the end of 2025, the "Offline - VPN" feature has been put into practical application. Toll stations are still maintaining weekly "offline" operations to improve flexibility and coordination between departments in unexpected situations.

Logistics work is also given special attention by leaders. Employees working directly at the station are fully allocated with necessary tools, instruments and protective equipment, ensuring safety during their duties.
