Overview of the Conference
The conference was held in a live and online format at district, commune and ward bridge points, with the participation of representatives of ministries, central branches, relevant authorities and businesses. Representative of Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) attending the Conference was Mr. Pham Thai Son - Deputy General Director.

The conference was held in a live and online format at district, commune and ward locations
At the Conference, VIDIFI presented a presentation on "Solutions for channelization, traffic organization, infrastructure renovation and upgrading to improve traffic safety on National Highway 5, especially minimizing accidents related to motorbikes and motorbikes".

Deputy General Director Pham Thai Son presented a speech at the Conference
Accordingly, National Highway 5 is a vital traffic route connecting Hanoi - Hai Phong, playing an important role in economic and logistics development in the Northern region. The route passes through the city area. Hai Phong, managed by VIDIFI, has a length of 74.2 km, currently under great pressure from increased vehicle traffic and rapid urbanization along both sides of the route. The current actual vehicle traffic has exceeded the design traffic many times, leading to the risk of congestion and traffic insecurity, especially at intersections and densely populated areas.
Faced with the above situation, VIDIFI has proactively coordinated with authorities to synchronously deploy many groups of solutions. In particular, focusing on the maintenance, repair and upgrading of traffic infrastructure; adding traffic safety systems such as signs, road markings, and signal lights; Renovate intersections and overpasses to reduce traffic conflicts. At the same time, the Corporation has reorganized traffic in the direction of dividing vehicle lanes, not allowing motorbikes and motorbikes to circulate on high-risk mixed lanes.
In addition, VIDIFI also promotes the application of science and technology in route management and operation, typically the installation of traffic signal systems applying AI technology at some key intersections, gradually improving the efficiency of traffic regulation and minimizing accidents.
From the practice of managing and exploiting National Highway 5, VIDIFI has proposed a number of recommendations to improve the effectiveness of ensuring traffic safety in the coming time, including: developing a collector road system to separate internal vehicle flows; Strengthen regulation and channelization of vehicles, especially container trucks; Promote propaganda and handling of violations of traffic safety corridors; applying technology in monitoring and handling violations; At the same time, strengthen coordination between functional forces in inspection and handling of violations.
Speaking at the end of the discussion, comrade Pham Thai Son - Deputy General Director of VIDIFI expressed his belief that:
“With the determination of the government and functional forces of Hai Phong city, especially the police sector with the experience of successfully implementing Plan 796 on Highway 5, the solutions in Plan 122/KH-UBND will be implemented drastically and achieve positive results, aiming to reduce at least 6% of traffic accidents annually, building Highway 5 and Highway 10 to become truly safe roads in the city. Hai Phong”.

As the unit directly managing and exploiting National Highway 5, through the Conference, VIDIFI once again affirmed its commitment to continue to coordinate closely with central and local agencies in implementing synchronous solutions, contributing to improving traffic safety, ensuring smooth circulation, aiming to build National Highway 5 into a model, safe route, contributing to promoting the socio-economic development of Hai Phong city and the region.
