26/08/2011

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Do Trung Thoai directed the field inspection and meetings with relevant sectors on site clearance for the Hanoi-Hai Phong high-speed motorway.

In order for site clearance to be carried out according to the proposed plan, the Vice President requested that relevant agencies and localities need to support each other in moving underground works. As for the cadastral map of some intersections that have not yet been completed, relevant agencies need to urgently complete it before August 10.

While there is no cadastral map, localities need to speed up the calculation of site clearance compensation. Particularly for projects with relocation plans, the Vice President requested investors to advance funds to localities to pay construction units as well as pay for land acquisition of agricultural land.

According to reports from An Lao, Kien Thuy and Duong Kinh and Hai An districts, up to now, phase 1 land clearance is basically completed, phase 2 has completed the compensation and support plan, just waiting for the investor's funding to compensate for agricultural land and move households to the land to be resettled.

However, moving underground works and electrical systems along the entire route is facing difficulties because there is no ground and no funding has been arranged for the move. To resolve problems related to moving the power system and compensating for recovered agricultural land, the Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation pledged to immediately transfer funds to localities to soon pay people and businesses.
