VIDIFI Youth Union coordinated with VDB Youth Union to participate in the "Candle lighting ceremony to pay tribute to heroic martyrs" at the Martyrs Cemetery in Ly Thuong Kiet commune, district
To practically celebrate the 67th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs' Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2014), on the evening of July 26, 2014, the Youth Union of Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Investment Finance Corporation (VIDIFI) in collaboration with the Youth Union of Vietnam Development Bank (VDB) participated in the "Candlelighting Ceremony to pay tribute to fallen heroes" at the Martyrs' Cemetery in Ly Thuong Kiet commune, district. Yen My, Hung Yen province.
This is a poor commune, and is also a Hero unit of the People's Armed Forces awarded by the Party and State. The commune's martyrs cemetery was built in the 60s of the last century. The Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Project, invested by VIDIFI, passes through the commune for nearly 6km (within the scope of EX 2 bidding package), about 300m south of the martyrs cemetery. Recently, the Party Committee, district and commune authorities have been starting the construction of "Renovate and upgrade martyrs' cemeteries” and now continues to call for contributions to complete items and auxiliary works at the cemetery.
Here, VIDIFI Youth Union and VDB Youth Union symbolically supported 50 million VND to build stone embankments on both sides of the road leading to the Cemetery (youth project) and awarded 10 gifts to 10 relatives of policy families, relatives of Martyrs, and people with meritorious services to the revolution.
This is a meaningful activity that demonstrates the good tradition of "Drinking water, remember its source", raising the pride and awareness of Youth Union members about the tradition of national heroes of the generation of their fathers and brothers who devoted their youth and blood for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland./.
