Here, we were told by Mr. Nguyen Khac Du - Director of the Center: The Center is taking care of 100 wounded comrades, including 70 comrades who were seriously injured due to injuries to the brain and spine, causing hemiplegia, some comrades lost both arms, both legs, many comrades had atrophied legs, many comrades had necrosis in their legs to the point of being bitten by rats without knowing it (because the skin no longer felt pain) or due to being bitten by rats. Limbs and limbs were cut off due to decomposed shrapnel, some comrades carried more than 100 pieces of shrapnel in their bodies, most of the comrades had to live in wheelchairs, wheelchairs... these comrades did not have a wife or husband, could not return to live at home and could not visit their homeland, the comrades determined that they would stay with the Center for the rest of their lives. The remaining 30 comrades are currently living with their families on the Center's campus. Every day, the comrades still sit in wheelchairs to sell street goods, participate in production labor such as repairing cassette sets, rewinding electric fans, growing traditional medicine and growing fruit trees.... The comrades also have adult children, raising them to study at university and postgraduate degrees and have jobs at reputable units in Bac Ninh province.

After the talk, encouragement, sharing and gift giving, we were able to visit the Center's campus, visit the living quarters and activities of wounded and sick soldiers, visit the living quarters of families of wounded soldiers, visit the herbal medicine garden and the garden that the wounded soldiers participated in caring for and cultivating... visiting each wounded soldier and somewhat understanding a part of their private life and life during the days of treatment at the Center.

In the days of unfavorable weather due to the recurrence of old wounds, the wounded and sick soldiers suffered physically and mentally, but by their side they were always supported and cared for very enthusiastically and thoughtfully by the team of doctors and nurses at the center.

Witnessing firsthand the lives of wounded and sick comrades at the Center, feeling the pain that comrades are suffering day and night, they sacrificed their blood, their feet, their arms, their pieces of skin and flesh left on the battlefield to bring a peaceful, prosperous and happy life to today's generations. Not only that, every day they have to overcome physical pain but still try to rise up to produce productive labor that is useful for themselves as well as society in life, demonstrating the true qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers "Wounded soldiers are disabled but not disabled".

Through visiting and giving gifts this time, the Corporation's organizations want to join hands and contribute a small part of their strength to the Wounded War Nursing Center, to share some of the difficulties of wounded and sick soldiers and their families; At the same time, it demonstrates the dedication of VIDIFI officers to the wounded soldiers living at Thuan Thanh War Invalids Nursing Center, those who have devoted and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the nation, for the unity and territorial integrity of the Vietnamese fatherland.

This is a practical activity of the Trade Union and Youth Union of Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation towards the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs and is also one of the social activities regularly maintained by VIDIFI's mass organizations during the past time.
