Vidifi and GS Contractor (Korea) Signed Contract for EX7 Construction Package of Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Project
On November 18, 2008, Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) held a contract signing ceremony for the EX7 construction package of the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Project with partner GS Contractor (Korea).
This is one of the important milestones, marking a new step in the implementation of the national key transport infrastructure project connecting the two major economic centers of the North.
According to the signing content, package EX7 is the main construction and installation item in the overall planning of the project. To ensure uniformity and international quality for the project, the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project is divided into specific segments, including:
- 10 main construction and installation packages:From EX1 to EX10.
- 07 auxiliary bidding packages:From EX11 to EX17 (including operating system, toll collection, lighting, signs...).

In particular, the EX7 bidding package is implemented based on a mixed capital structure, ensuring financial stability during the construction process. Specifically, capital sources include loans from the Korea Export-Import Bank (KEXIM) and counterpart capital from the Vietnam Development Bank (VDB).
The selection of GS contractor - one of Korea's leading construction corporations - for the EX7 package demonstrates VIDIFI's commitment to prioritizing quality, technique and construction progress for this vital road.
