Progress of implementing bidding packages EX7 and EX10 for Hanoi - Hai Phong automobile expressway project

These are two Korean ODA loan packages with a total loan capital of 200 million USD and are both constructed by Korean contractors GS and Nam Kwang.

The two Contractors have completed the necessary procedures according to regulations; Complete the mobilization of personnel, machinery and equipment; Construction of operating house and laboratory.

Package EX7 was undertaken by Korean GS Contractor and started on February 3, 2008, disbursing 25.4 million USD out of a total of 100 million USD ODA loan from Korea. However, the project's progress is currently slow compared to plan due to some problems with site clearance (clearance) and changes in technical design (vertical survey, method of handling soft ground).

Package EX10 was undertaken by Korean Contractor Nam Kwang, and construction started on November 2, 2009, disbursing 15.4 million USD out of a total of 100 million USD in ODA loans from Korea. This is the final package of the route, with very complex geology, passing through many swamps and swamps, so the construction work to handle weak soil faces many difficulties. Besides, site clearance is still facing many problems.
