Hung Yen is determined to approve the HN-HP expressway project on schedule

The Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway project, the section through Hung Yen province has a total length of 26.5 km. The number of resettlement areas to be built is 12 for 280 households. The number of graves that have to be moved is 626 graves of all types.

Currently, the People's Committees of the districts of Hung Yen Province where the project goes through have approved compensation plans for 4,762 households whose agricultural land was recovered. Compensation and support have been paid to 4,616 households with a total cost of about 263 billion VND. The payment for moving the graves has basically been completed.

Regarding moving technical works, moving 71 high and low voltage electric poles, 350m of petroleum pipelines. Currently, investors of subprojects to move technical works have approved the overall budget plan for moving electricity, telecommunications, and petroleum works, and at the same time approved and signed contracts with consulting contractors to survey, prepare technical economic reports and construction estimates for moving information networks and fiber optic cables.
In site clearance work, up to now, the subproject investors have handed over the agricultural land to the investor to carry out project construction with a total handover length of: 24.3km/26.5km. Cumulative allocation for site clearance subprojects is 275,838 million VND.

Currently, the project is facing some difficulties and problems: 132 households have not received compensation or support because the compensation unit price has not been approved. The district Land Clearance Board has sent all the households' money to commercial banks according to regulations to handle the next steps. Some technical works such as power lines, telecommunications fiber optic cables and petroleum pipelines scattered on the route cannot be moved.
 

The District People's Committees coordinate with the Provincial Land Clearance Steering Committee to gradually remove difficulties and obstacles to implement the land clearance plan in accordance with measures to speed up land clearance progress, ensuring clean site delivery to investors before March 30, 2009.
