Contract signing ceremony for construction package EX-5 of the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway Project
On January 5, 2011, the Vietnam Infrastructure Development and Financial Investment Corporation (VIDIFI) held a contract signing ceremony for package EX-5 of the Hanoi-Hai Phong Expressway Project with a consortium of contractors including Changda Expressway Co., Ltd. and Guangzhou Economic and Technical Cooperation Company (China).
Attending the ceremony were Mr. He Sheng - Commercial Counselor, Chinese Embassy in Vietnam; Mr. Liu Gang Liang - Chairman of Changda Expressway Engineering Co., Ltd.; Mr. Liu Jian Ping - Chairman of Guangzhou Economic and Technical Cooperation Company; Mr. Pham Duc Hoa - Deputy General Director of Vietnam Development Bank, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIDIFI; Ms. Nguyen Thuy Lan - Head of Foreign Capital Management Department - Vietnam Development Bank, along with other Deputy General Directors and leaders of departments of the Corporation, representatives of the Corporation's shareholders, the Supervisory Board, and consulting supervisors.
The EX-5 construction package, spanning from Km 48+000 to Km 63+300, passes through the districts of Gia Loc and Tu Ky in Hai Duong province. This section includes 6 bridges (5 of which are local roads crossing the expressway, and 1 is an expressway bridge crossing a river), 19 pedestrian underpasses, 1 interchange at Road 38B, and 1 main service station serving the entire project.
