Towards the 10th anniversary of the opening of the entire Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway (December 5, 2015 - December 5, 2025), the Corporation launched a writing contest about VIDIFI and the Hanoi - Hai Phong expressway with the purpose of recording and spreading the mark of 10 years of project operation and exploitation; foster professional pride, solidarity and VIDIFI corporate culture; create cultural and media resources of lasting value. After just over two months, the contest has created a strong influence, exceeding the expectations of the Organizing Committee with 34 quality entries (including 28 individual works and 6 collective/co-authored works).

The contest attracted enthusiastic participation from professional units, typically: HN-HP Expressway Management and Operation Company Limited (17 works), Administrative Board (6 works), Investment Planning Board (5 works), Construction and Maintenance Enterprise (3 works) and entries from the Human Resources Department and National Highway 5 Maintenance Management Board.

All entries closely follow the theme, not only complying with copyright regulations but also demonstrating each author's thoughtfulness and respect for their "brainchild".

In particular, although this is the first time VIDIFI has organized a large-scale writing contest, the enthusiastic response of workers has brought unexpected success. To promptly encourage spirit and acknowledge the dedication put into each written page, the General Director decided to award a royalty of 500,000 VND/work to all entries. This is a practical encouragement, showing the Board of Directors' appreciation for the spiritual contributions of employees, regardless of whether the work won an award or not.

Through the written pages, melodies, and poems of the entries, it is touching to see the portraits of VIDIFI employees and the image of the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway portrayed as both a modern transportation project and an economic "lifeline" in the Northeast region, but above all, it is the closeness imbued with comradery, colleagues, and professional pride. Many authors have portrayed the route with rich symbolic images such as "traffic blood vessel", "road to the big sea", "road that opens the way to the future". The expressway has contributed to strongly shortening space and time, connecting the Capital with the largest sea gateway in the North, promoting logistics, import and export, attracting investment, creating jobs for more than 800 VIDIFI employees and livelihoods for tens of thousands of people.

What is worth appreciating is that those values ​​are expressed not by hard data, but by the real, close feelings of the people involved, clearly reflecting the change and development of social life and the way people feel about the distance and connection between regions, and the huge economic growth contribution that the route creates for localities along the route. Throughout the articles, VIDIFI appears above all as a group of people: leaders who dare to think, dare to do, dare to take responsibility, are always dedicated and exemplary for the development of VIDIFI; images of teams of engineers, workers, and laborers working in difficult conditions; The operations, toll collection, road patrol, and maintenance forces work silently "24/7" to keep the route safe and smooth. Somewhere in the articles, the love for comrades and teammates shines through, allowing each of us to understand what a "second home" is - where each person works not only out of responsibility, but also out of love for a group that has become flesh and blood. They not only work as skilled workers in a “system maintenance” gig, but also keep the “traffic lights on” so that millions of people pass by every day safely and smoothly.

Through the stories told, the articles recreated moments and professional memories, from young toll collectors who had just been trained and had to try to be confident on New Year's Eve on duty at the station in the middle of a heartbreakingly quiet road. Homesickness crept in. They felt sad in the middle of the New Year's transition and then suddenly found themselves happy when he drove across the street: "Happy New Year, toll collection!", a smile was given back with a red envelope with the logo printed on it. Vidifi "Wishing you thousands of miles of peace". Or somewhere, we find the silhouettes of maintenance workers going out in the middle of the night, to fix emergency problems, ensuring safe traffic on the route the next day. They worked and contributed so much that "in my memory, the most familiar image is probably the yellow light stretching across the road, mixed with dust and smoke and the roaring sound of rollers in the night".

In particular, the contest recognizes in-depth works of up to 21 pages, carefully analyzing the ups and downs and development journey of the Corporation. These are in-depth analysis topics, the author writes as if encapsulating a lifetime of enthusiasm for VIDIFI's journey of ups and downs, from the difficulties in the early days of establishment and building the road, to the ups and downs of challenges when the financial plan had many fluctuations and the explosion when achieving results and achievements like today. The author wrote like there was only one time left to write about VIDIFI, with 21 pages of analysis that also recorded the history of Vidifi's formation and development with facts and talking numbers.

In all the works, there is a sparkle of pride and love for VIDIFI that the authors and works themselves have affirmed: "Love for Vidifi is not a slogan hanging on the wall, but is about very small things: patience in the cold wind, meticulousness with each fiber optic cable, proud eyes when the signal comes back on", and "whether rain or shine erases all my youth, I will always be proud, I will always believe that I will always be a child of Vidifi", and then the consciousness of the workers and laborers, always determined that "even though we are a small link in a large system, it is the consensus, precision and dedication of each person that has created a sustainable, reliable VIDIFI".

To this day, on the highway there are two rows of green trees, the flowers are now blooming, there is youth, love for Vidifi and love for couples. When celebrating the 10th anniversary of the road's inauguration, an author wrote, "Dear, 6 years ago I stood here alone, now I have you, I have children, I have a beautiful road, we still have the whole future ahead."

It can be said that the contest has gone beyond the framework of an award to become a spiritual cultural feature of VIDIFI people - an important foundation for forming and fostering "VIDIFI collective memory" - an intangible but sustainable asset. The lesson of maturity is deeply summed up: "This path teaches me what discipline is, what responsibility is, and what it means to go to the end." These pages confirm: Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway was built not only with investment capital, but with the life capital of hundreds of VIDIFI people.

The authors' articles make us see not only the work, but the "Soul" of VIDIFI.

The 34 submitted works are 34 pieces of a beautiful spiritual picture, which is: "Solidarity - Discipline - Responsibility - Creativity - Service". The Board of Directors, the Board of Judges and many staff members read, listened and actually saw their image and feelings in it. Through the authors' lens, the Hanoi - Hai Phong Expressway appears as a "living body" that breathes and speaks.

Judging is a particularly difficult task, because there are many works of great value and significance. The Organizing Committee established a judging council and organized 3 rounds of judging by secret ballot to determine the unique works of the contest, thereby selecting a first prize, 3 second prizes and 5 third prizes along with 2 thematic prizes for unique in-depth works and the most emotional works.

This contest shows us a feeling: "VIDIFI is not only building roads, but we are building human values". All works exude a common spirit: Proud and Committed.
